FAQs
-
Firstly, please know that you are so welcome, no matter what your background or past or present circumstances are, we’d love to get to know you.
We know that coming to a church for the first time can be out of the comfort zone, so we hope to make you feel welcome! We won’t ask you to wear a fluoro visitor vest or get you up the front, but we will introduce ourselves if you’re up for a chat!
If you’d like to stay in touch with us, you can fill out a visitor’s card with whatever contact info you’d like to share. This helps us to keep you up to date with things that are going on in and around church and connect you with more people if you’d like.
-
We have two church services, both on Sunday morning!
8 am: A more traditional service, with prayer books and hymn books.
10 am: A family-friendly service with creche and kids’ spot during the service.
-
The 8am service lasts around 1 hour. 10am service typically lasts 1hr 20 mins.
You are warmly invited to join us for morning tea afterwards.
-
Our 10 am service has creche for the littlest ones (0-5years).
Kids from Kindergarten up stay in church, where we have a kids lesson, kids’ song and activity sheets. We love being together asa family. Click here for more info.
We’d love to help you if sitting through church sounds challenging.
On Friday nights we have Youth Group.
-
That’s great to hear! As a church, we are family and we love spending time together!
Throughout the week we have several ‘Growth Groups’ held, where smaller groups of people get together to dig into God’s word (the bible), often over a meal. Chat to a Welcomer, Simon, Tineke or Cody on Sunday if you’d like more info!
-
There is plenty of on-street parking on both Barber Street and Elgin Street. Elgin street is a little quieter because it’s a no through road.
-
There’s no need to dress up or wear something special (but you can if you want!). Most people wear what they would when going to the pub or out for a movie.
-
Yes! We have an entrance with a ramp on the Elgin street side. Chat to our welcomers if you’ll be using that entrance and they can help you get there, if you’d like.
-
Just yourself! We’d love to see you, and you don’t need to bring a thing in order to join us.
